Our most popular song. It was composed in the parking lot of the Safeway grocery store. We had been hit with a severe case of the munchies. While Jabo went in the store to buy us a bag of caramels and a box of butter mints, I wrote these lyrics on scraps of paper from the glove box of our VW bug. We went on to turn it into an award-winning music video. To this day, people come up to us on the street and ask us to sing Sugar Rush. I guess it hit a chord in the collective sugar-loving unconscious!

Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
Been eating sugar since I was a child

But, oh, Sugar, it tastes so good! I need a…
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!

I need more sugar about every day
I’m hooked on sugar, what more can I say?
I love to feel the sugar course through my veins
I’ve got to have some soon; I’m going insane
Just had some sugar, but I gotta get more
Oh, Sugar, Sugar, Sugar, take me to the store! I need a…
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
Sugar Rush!
